It’s back. Sonic Boom Racing is thrilled to welcome the return of the Lucky Pie Criterium, one of Louisville’s most exciting community race days. Whether you are racing, learning, cheering, or just showing up for pizza and fast bikes, this is a day built for speed and community.
This year we are featuring a 1-mile foot race! So whether you are an elite looking to go home with some cash, or just looking to make it around the course, The Louisville Mile is a fun way to see what you've got!
Bring the whole family and come celebrate with us in downtown Louisville, pin on a number, and buckle up for a one-mile course ripping through town. After crossing the finish line, recharge with pizza from Lucky Pie, explore hundreds of vendors at the Farmers Market, or enjoy the live fiddling competition as Louisville celebrates Colorado Day!

The Race Experience
One mile. Seven feet of elevation. A 500 meter sprint finish.
With only 7 feet of elevation gain per lap, the Lucky Pie Criterium course is flat, fast, and built for speed. Positioning matters, teamwork counts, and the long finishing sprint makes every race exciting to watch and even better to race. This is a USA Cycling sanctioned event, professionally organized and held to official racing standards.
New to racing or curious about criteriums? Join our crit clinic to learn the fundamentals of pack riding, cornering, and positioning in a welcoming environment designed to build confidence and answer questions.
Racing at Lucky Pie is competitive and rewarding, with cash payouts for the Women’s and Men’s P 1 2 races, product prizes from leading cycling brands, and fun primes throughout the day to keep the action lively.
More than anything, this is a true community event. Expect fast racing, cheering crowds, great food, and a welcoming atmosphere for riders and spectators alike. Bring your teammates. Bring your family. Stay for the day.
